Red Dead Redemption is a Western-themed action-adventure game played in a third-person perspective. The player controls John Marston and completes quests (linear scenarios with set objectives) to continue the story; In the game’s ending, the player takes control of Jack, the son of John. In addition to missions, players can freely roam the open world environment, including the US states of New Austin and West Elizabeth – fictional versions of the US West – and the fictional state of Nuevo, Paraiso of Mexico. Different breeds of horses serve as the main means of transport, each with different characteristics. Horses must be domesticated in the wild, stolen or purchased for use.[5] Players can use trains and cars to move quickly. The game’s undeveloped lands take up most of the game world, filled with rugged and vast landscapes filled with casual travelers, bandits, and wildlife. Urban settlements ranged from isolated farms to crowded cities
