Miles Morales is just like its predecessor. It features the same open world, a fictionalized version of modern Manhattan, covered in snow because the game is set around Christmas. Miles controls in much the same way as Peter Parker, but with new animations and abilities, which are unlocked as the plot progresses. New powers include Venom Blast, which allows players to neutralize enemies with bioelectricity and charge or drain electronics; Invisibility, making Miles invisible temporarily; and Mega Venom Blast, which consists of a massive bioelectric explosion that damages all nearby enemies. The game introduces new gadgets, such as remote-controlled mines, which can be attached to enemies or electrical panels; a device that summons holographic warriors to aid in combat; and the Gravity Well to trap multiple enemies and make them more vulnerable. Miles abilities and gadgets can be upgraded as the player levels up through the skill tree system. Another feature the game offers is Miles’ Spider-Man app, which gives him information about crimes that have happened in New York and the locations of those crimes. It notifies the player of all the side quests they can complete, which is beneficial for leveling up
